So if I've learned one thing this week it's listen to my husband! Yes ladies, sometimes our husbands are right!

This stems back three weeks ago. I sometimes walk to work, and on this particular morning did so- it was snowing out and frankly it's easier to walk the mile to work in the snow rather than attempting to drive. Well, silly me fell. It wasn't graceful or pretty by any means. It was a nasty fall, made even worse by the fact that I stiffened up to try to stop my fall and brace myself (this is where hubby comes in). When he called me later that day, I told him of my fall and how I was sore. The first words out of his mouth were, "Did you just let yourself fall?" Of course I gafawed at him... who just lets go and falls???!!! Of course that brought out the "control freak" title from him (that's a topic for another day...) and I simply told him he was silly and that it didn't matter if I stiffened and braced myself or not...

HA! Silly me!

Thursday morning (yesterday) as I was blow drying my hay (this winter is doing a number on my hair!) I all of a sudden had this horrific pain in my lower back on the right hand side. It dropped me to my knees. I've never felt pain like that!! So I crawled out of the bathroom and into the bedroom (probably took 30 minutes, no joke!!) and called those that needed to be notified (work, hubby, doctors).

Long story short, I got in to see the doctor late in the day and after some Q &A and some reflex tests, he found that I had dislocated my pelvis! Who does that?!?! He confirmed that it all stemmed back to said fall and I never recovered. After some serious manipulation (which Don found to be the coolest thing he's ever seen), we all heard the POP! of my pelvis moving back in to place. I'm sore and a little stiff, but we're doing great now!!

As we left the Dr. office, Don looked at me and said, "I told you just to let yourself fall." WHO KNEW!!! Who knew he was right and who knew that you could even dislocate your pelvis?! So I guess I learned 2 things this week!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!
xoxo

Hi my poor baby....I've never heard of someone dislocating their pelvis...(I'm not even sure just where it is)...imagine that doctor popping it back. He must be good! Hey, don't feel bad...I don't think I would just let myself fall either. Who could do that? Oh yeh, I know, Don could. Right!!!! Hope you're feeling better now. Just take it easy in your nice heated water bed. Pep and I love you very much.....

Hi Jaime!! It's our Kel, in the flesh!! Can you believe it?! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you... trust me, you don't want to be induced. My SIL was and it wasn't pretty... 23 hours of labor and then 'hey, you should have a C-section." I think you'll go soon, my guess is Jan. 20. :) Keep me posted!
